Mr. Daudt is an associate in the Land Use/Environmental and Mining/Natural Resources practice groups. His practice focuses on helping clients to secure land use approvals and entitlements for commercial and residential development projects including the analysis and defense of documents prepared pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Additionally, Mr. Daudt has drafted and reviewed various transactional documents including lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&R's), and reciprocal easement and access agreements. In addition to working on a number of major retail development projects, Mr. Daudt has also been involved in the permitting of railroad projects and aggregate quarries. Mr. Daudt's experience also includes representation at administrative and quasi-judicial hearings.
Prior to law school, Mr. Daudt became familiar with public agency processes while pursuing a graduate degree in public administration. While in law school, Mr. Daudt gained invaluable legal experience by serving as an extern to the honorable Robert M. Takasugi, Senior Federal Judge of the Central District of California, as well as the Land Use division of the Los Angeles City Attorney's office. Having also worked for a number of years as a grant writer for a regional non-profit family services organization, Mr. Daudt brings a unique perspective to client advocacy.
