Bradley Neufeld is a shareholder and co-chair of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group at Gresham Savage. His practice focuses on the representation of management in all aspects of employment law. Mr. Neufeld provides timely advice to clients on all aspects of personnel management, including employee termination, discipline and grievance matters, employee handbooks, employment contracts, personnel policies such as sexual harassment and drug and alcohol testing, and compliance with the many constantly changing state and federal employment laws. His expertise extends to collective bargaining laws, the Family Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and many other laws which affect California employers.
Mr. Neufeld provides valuable counsel to employers in wage and hour issues, workplace violence issues, employee and applicant privacy issues and assists employers in drafting documents for all stages of employee disciplinary matters. His skill and experience is particularly evident in responding on behalf of clients to complaints from the Department of Labor, Office for Civil Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Mr. Neufeld strives to provide practical solutions that resolve employee problems quickly, efficiently and at the lowest cost possible, while complying with all relevant employment laws and due process requirements.
Relying upon his extensive experience in employee relations and collective bargaining matters, Mr. Neufeld provides negotiating services to many clients, both large and small. These services include acting as chief negotiator, drafting and evaluation of proposals, in-service management on new agreements and counseling of the management negotiations team on how to avoid unfair labor practice charges and employee concerted actions, as well as representing employers before the National Labor Relations Board and the Public Employment Relations Board.
Mr. Neufeld conducts in-house training seminars for managers and supervisors on employment topics, such as documenting employee performance and discipline, identification and elimination of sexual harassment and lawful employee terminations. He also advises clients on how to stay "Union Free". An integral part of the services Mr. Neufeld provides is the development of effective and lawful personnel policies and procedures tailored to meet the specific needs of each employer.
Mr. Neufeld also serves as outside General Counsel to various public agencies, including special districts, school districts and community college districts within the Inland Southern California region, where he provides his clients General Counsel advice and the coordination of services for the firm's several specialized practice areas. He also counsels clients on compliance with the Brown Act and the Public Records Act.
