Print PDFMr. Summerour is a litigation attorney and counselor who has practiced in California for 25 years, in both state and federal courts. While his practice focuses on labor and employment matters, Mr. Summerour also has broad experience in handling a variety of business litigation matters. His approach to all cases is to obtain the best result possible in a cost-efficient manner.
In the labor and employment field, Mr. Summerour has aggressively and successfully defended employers from typical employee claims, including lawsuits alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, and class-action disputes. Mr. Summerour has successfully represented employers in administrative proceedings, including disciplinary and termination hearings, and also helped to guide employers in responding to the myriad of employee claims that arise under California law.
In addition to employment litigation and related advice, Mr. Summerour has comprehensive experience in all aspects of business litigation, including cases involving breach of contract, real property and secured transactions, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, lease disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, defamation, fraud, interference with contracts, and other business torts. He has successfully defended and prosecuted cases through both trial and appeal.
